Team Wench Dickens Tea Dec 13

The walls have been decked and the holly hung

The holidays are here for all to be merry.

The organization of Team Wench offers for your enjoyment a respite from all of the hustle and bustle of the season. On Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 3 to 5 pm, we will be hosting The Dickens Tea as a fundraiser for the National Brain Tumor Society.

This elegant high tea will be of the Dickens – Victorian time period and all are encouraged to dress in the period style, steampunk or in their best tea clothing. Enjoy a delectable selection of teas, savories, and sweets while listening to period chamber music, provided by a string quartet. Win that special and unique gift you have been searching for at our silent auction.

The tea shall be held at the beautiful Hawthorn Center in Columbia, Maryland. Tickets are $35 and may be purchased through the Team Wench website at www.teamwench.org.

There are limited seats available so reserve your party today.

Team Wench, Inc. is a non-profit (501c3) charity organization

Oh! Y'all are supporting my (new) favorite cancer research group! (The one I walked for this Nov and last for my Aunt Marty). Now I'm going to have to figure out how I can go to this event!

Another chance to help!
Oh, and they are having their annual "Race for Hope - DC" in May! I'll be walking again with my cousin (Marty's daughter).

Would love to see you there. We'll be doing our usual hide in the kitchen routine. :)

Wish I could manage to make it... but I've got stuff starting before the end of it.

I'm guessing you'll be mostly cooking ahead of time? If not, if you need help earlier, let me know, and I can go over and help out for a while beforehand (actually, pretty much starting any time that day), and up to around 3:30. I live just up by where 100 hits 29, so something like 10-15 minutes from the Hawthorn Center.
