I just found out that the greyhound track in Plainfield CT is closing. There are reportedly around 500 dogs living there who are going to be displaced.

Rescue organizations are scrambling to find homes for the dogs, even if only temporarily, but there is little hope for placing all of them.

My friends flt and devilvern have retired greyhounds and they are some of the nicest dogs I've ever met. If you are considering getting a dog, please consider a greyhound.
