1. Why bobbin lace?
When I was first starting in the SCA I took my first bobbin lace class. I did a couple of things then put it aside. Years later, after I met Roxie, I took the class again from her and I've decided I love it. I love beautiful things in general and I especially love making them. The thing I think I love most about bobbin lace is that you start out with a plain spool of thread and when you're done there you have something beautiful. I have to admit though, I also have a thing for "freaking the mundanes". What I like even more is "freaking the scadians". When people see me working with a ton of bobbins and making beauty they are all freaked no matter who they are (unless they are another lacemaker).
2. What is your favorite game?
This is tough, I don't usually play board games and I'm not much for computer/video games either. I think the answer is when D and I play with Shabari. After all that's a "game" isn't it? I'm his toy...
3. Who would you most want with you on a long road trip?
LLT. She and I can talk about anything, we share a lot of the same taste in music, and we have comfy silences. She also has the right tone of voice (isn't annoying after hours of listening to her).
4. What would be the perfect meal for supper tonight?
Hrmmm....The default answer is ALWAYS a good steak. On the other hand when it's raining I usually crave chinese food. Since I'm on my way to Crusades it'll be whatever I pass that looks good.
I think the Perfect dinner would be a salad, nice juicy steak, grilled mushrooms and onions, baked potato, a nice merlot and something chocolate for dessert. Of course it wouldn't be perfect without someone to share it with though...
5. What is the best thing that someone else has done for you?
Another tough one. I'd say let me live with them. I've had that honor with several people and I always seem to miss them when I go. I've found that I can't live alone because my depression goes out of control.
2nd answer: introduce to me other people. That's how I've met my last two significant others, and they are two of the best people to come into my lives.
