I have to question this report

From the Washington Post: Cats' Sweet Tooth Long Gone
Genetic Mutation Leaves Felines Unable to Taste Sugar

Apparently some scientists have done testing and decided that Cats cannot taste sweet. I have to disagree with this in at least some cases since I know that PC's cat Harley attacks anything that tastes sweet. When I was staying at his house and working on the snowflake cake, I had to buy storage units to protect the snowflakes otherwise he would have licked them all and broken them. Before we figured this out he killed several snowflakes.

Also he used to like drinking my coffee, which I take with sugar and milk. Of course this is the same cat who will lick to death any photographs left out. Go figure.
