Yes, it's geeky to be happy to be working but there you go. I was assigned to changing the design of a group of Excel workbooks. When I was done I sent an email to J giving him the total I came up with to compare to what he was expecting then I went to lunch. When I got back he told me they were perfect. Oh well, beginners luck. ;)
After lunch I got to work on updatig some reports that I think I'm going to have to do every month. It's the type of thing that would drive normal people nuts but I kept flashing happily back to my days as a teacher's aide in high school correcting papers. I got about 1/3 of the way through the stack before it was time to leave for din din.
That means when I get in tomorrow I already know what to work on.
Oh I talked to S, my supervisor and she told me that I could take off for my doctor's appointment Monday, Dec 26th and leave early to drive to Kingdom 12th night. So they're willing to be good about me going negative on leave, as long as I'm not abusive about it I'm sure.
